Baie Black, Quebec
1. Put in at the end of the dyke at Lac des Chats, east of the Morris Island Conservation Area.
2. Ted loads up.
3. Ted heads out into the lake above the dam.
4. Ted gets ready for lunch at the 'nice spot' on the map.
5. At the portage over the RR tracks.
6. Canoe Route: Ted & Steve put in at the clearing at the end of the dyke at 10am. We followed the red
route westward along the south shore, then crossed over to Baie Black. Had lunch at "Nice spot" on the map,
then continued to the portage over the RR tracks, then back across the Ottawa R and under the trestle, where
we retraced our route back to the takeout.
Total trip time = 4 hrs

Baie Black, Quebec - Trip #2

1. Lisa, Judy, and Bill as we head out across the Ottawa R.
2. At the portage over the railway trestle
3. Within sight of the railway trestle across the Ottawa R.
Canoe Route: Steve, Lisa, Bill, and Judy put in at the Morris Island Conservation Area at 10am.
We crossed over to Baie Black. Had lunch at "Nice spot" on the map,
then continued to the portage over the RR tracks, then back across the Ottawa R and under the trestle, where
we retraced our route back to the takeout.
4. Tree huggers at the Gilles Glen old-growth forest in Arnprior. Judy,
Lisa, and Bill.
